Inspiration;

I've been inspired:
• to be a better person
• to be kinder
• to pursue my dreams
• to work harder
• to be more determined in everything
• to do well in physics
• to show my personality more
• to read and pray more often
• to sing all the time
• to forget about age
• to forget about height
• to forget about people's pasts
• to play the piano more often
• to listen more
• to forget and forgive
• to go on drives just to clear my head
• to write different missionaries
• to refrain from gossip
• to love everyone
• to recognize how great my friends truly are
• to recognize inner beauty
• to use my camera more often
• to finish my quilt
• to just be who I am.

January 11, 1903

I didn't know how to begin this post, because I didn't put any thought into until now. Six years ago, my grandpa Willard Brooks passed away, he died of old age, he lived to be 102 years old. He married my grandmother, Bernice May on September 15, 1932. They had six children, 34 grand children, 66 great-grand children, and 6 great-great-grand children; a total of 106. My grandparents were married for 72 years, I am the youngest of their grand children.
A lot of memories come to mind when I think of him, but I thought I would just share a few of my favorites. He could never remember my sister Whitney's name, he for some reason always called her Montaine, to this day we have no idea why. He called my brother James, Jim, he called my sister Cassie, Cathy because his daughters name is Cathy. But he always could remember mine and my sister Abby's name, it may be perhaps because she's the oldest and I'm the youngest of the family? Who knows. The furnace in his house was always turned up way too high even during the summer, he enjoyed "watching" channel 32, watching meant sleeping for hours in a day. By the time I reached an age where I truly realized how much my grandparents meant to me, they were gone and trust me it's something I've regretted for a long time.
There was always something in the living room to snack on, he loved to garden, he became deaf later in his life. He served in the second world war, he was a teacher and to this day teaching has been something I've wanted to pursue. He was a genius, even though he's not with us, he is in a way because my dad; his son Eric, is like him in so many ways whether he likes it or not. The way he sleeps, how when he hears something and can't figure it out, he'll do anything in his power to find out the correct definition. If I say something grammatically incorrect, he'll correct me.
My grandpa was such an amazing role model in my life! He was an amazing athlete, I do wish that he could have been around to see me participate in my own athletics, before games I like to think that he's watching me, and hopefully he's proud. His game was baseball and track, he was said to be the best, he also loved music and learning.
Unfortunately I didn't have pictures of him, but I do have ones of us at their house.

Halloween, the ugly one is Cassie.

Abbs and Cass helping grandma make their bed:)

All five kids on the grandparents couch:) One of my favorites!
I miss him very much and every time, either him or my grandma are brought up it brings tears to my eyes, he truly was an amazing grandparent and I along with my whole family miss him dearly, especially on this day. Love you grandpa:).

oh christmas tree

Christmas decorations in my house seem to be different every year, there's always new colors; some years they're red, others they're blue and silver, but this year my mother decided on green!
Our tree looks fantastic as always, no thanks to me of course I was going to decorate the downstairs tree, but I think my mom realized what it might look like after I was done with it, so she decided to just go ahead and do it herself, which was probably smart. One christmas I tried to put a barbie ornament on the tree and every time I wasn't looking either my sister Abby or my mom were moving it to the back where no one could see it. So I guess you could say christmas decorating isn't my thing? Yes indeed you could say that!

Lucky for everyone we have such an amazing interior decorator living at home!:)

My Buddy :)

What a cute family hey? This my friends is the Hardy family, they are so adorable. I mostly wanted to recognize the gorgeous woman in the far right corner, her name is Tanis. I have been lucky enough to have her as a buddy and let me tell you I don't think there is any buddy better than her! She has done so much for me, and I am so grateful for her example. Every time I see her I can always count on her having a huge smile on her face. She is an amazing mother, and she's had four kids, I hope I'll look half that good when I have one! She is such a kind and sincere soul, these pictures are from the summer, unfortunately I am a terrible procrastinator. I hope she enjoys a few of the ones I wanted to share with everyone :).

Thank you for everything you are, and for everything you've done for me! I hope we'll be able to take another trip to Waterton some day and catch up. You're the best! :)

Smiling: it burns calories!

So much has been going on in my life lately! I've found myself attracted to a ginger? I've made the varsity basketball team, I've spent almost every weekend in Magrath, I've realized that I CANNOT stand scary movies, I've realized who my true friends are, and I've decided that I'm one of the worst bloggers there is haha.

Last night I read my journal and my last entry had been from August 31, sad huh? So I've decided that when I die no one will know anything about me.

These last few months or so have been some of the best times I've had. Sidney, Shak, Sarah, BP and I all ventured to Barnwell along with our Magrath friends and partied it up at the whiteout party! Words cannot describe how fun it was! The next weekend we were off to the hurricanes game, and yes they did win :).

I just wanted to write a few things about them so everyone else can know how great they are :)

Sarbear: What can I say about you? Other than you named your journal after me haha. People say we look like twins but they are incredibly wrong because how could they get me confused with you when your eyes and eyelashes pop everytime you walk into a room! We've been friends since elementary and I'm so glad we still are! I've had a blast playing vball with you this year and I hope that nothing changes after the season is finished! :)

Sid: Well for starters your skills at every sport there is are sick! I love being on the floor with you, we always know exactly what each other are thinking. We've become such good friends this year and I very much enjoy it. I love love LOVE your permed hair, it's adorable. I can't wait for bball season to start so that we can ball it up together once again, love you sid! :)

BP: We've seriously got so much in common, it's ridiculous! For one, our names rhyme, for two we both love turkey bacon subs haha, and for three, we love being with each other, the list goes on and on! I don't have a single memory from the summer that doesn't have you in it! I wish we could have had Chem 20 together this year, but we've made it work. I loved being able to sit next to my best friend on the tube at echo, knowing that if I died you'd be right next to me. BP, I'm so glad we're such good friends and I know nothing will ever change that! :)

Shak: Let's be honest we weren't the best of friends during the summer, but volleyball has definitely changed that! I love how we both do jump floats, I love that you're five races in one! I love how curly your hair is and that it takes you forever to straighten it! You are SICK at volleyball, I've very much enjoyed playing the season with you. I know this year will blow by and I can't help but regret us not spending more time together! You can always make me laugh no matter what! Seriously shak you're one of my best friends, and I've loved every minute of being with you! :)

I can't help but smile whenever I'm around all of my friends. We've all become so close and have found ourselves to be inseparable. We see each other everyday and we can always tell if there is something wrong. We've got each other's backs no matter what, and we always look forward to our weekends together. Whether it be creeping through the weeds into a haunted Hutterite house, (or staying in the car) or sitting together at lunch time and discussing anything that comes to our heads. I can't help but wonder what our next adventure together will be, but it doesn't matter what we do I know that as long as we're together I'll always have a smile :)

Grandpa Ady

October 14th 2010, we had family arrive from all over, I had cousins come from Rosevelt, Utah that I hadn't seen in years, It was so nice of them to come! It truly was one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed!
We woke up that morning and headed for lethbridge, my grandparents didn't know that all of the cousins were in Canada, they thought that my grandpa was just having a retirement dinner, while we were driving we figured out that my grandpa and grandma were one vehicle in front of us! We panicked and pulled over, they were going 80km/h because they thought they were early. Anyways we all showed up and surprised him he still had no idea what was going on, the premier got up and spoke in honor of my grandpa, then announced the real reason we had all arrived; the Cancer centre in the lethbridge hospital was being named after My grandpa, Jack Ady. Both him and my grandma had no idea, but what everyone was most surprised by was that we were able to surprise the both him and my grandma! It was a day I'll never forget.

His reaction.

My Grandparents standing in front of the Cancer centre.

He got this courtyard built for all the patients.

This machine is for radiation, it costed 1.5 million. The whole room in total costed 5 million.

Autumn joy :)

Sarbear and I did a quick photoshoot the other day, here's a couple of beauties she produced! :)
